God blesses us each with so many things
and sometimes that blessing is a child
he chooses a special angel, picked just for you
and loans them to you for a while
they hold you heart in their hand
and add precious moments to your life
and each night we pray and ask the lord
to keep them safe from strife
for this precious gift
God doesn't as a large fee
"Just love and care for them
and teach them all of me"
but every once and while
He calls one angel home real fast
and we are left knowing
that this heartbreak will always last
not one of us knows how long they'll be here
or when God will call for his laon
and take that special angel
picked just for you, back home
but He made us a promise, and of this I have no doubt
He will carry you through this great sorrow
because when its your time, Summer will be first to greet you
and you'll be blessed with an eternity of tomorrow
